Riftbound TCG is a collectible card game in which you play a summoner familiar from League of Legends and fight for control of points on the board. You build your game around champions, units and spells, combining them into a coherent deck. The rules are approachable and at the same time leave plenty of room for tactics.
As in most card games, what counts here is managing resources and reading your opponent's moves. Your first games are best played with someone who can point out the finer details.
What you need to start
To begin, a ready-made starter deck and the will to learn are enough. Over time you build out your collection with boosters, which you open for new cards for your decks. Card sleeves come in handy too, to keep them from getting damaged. You do not need a computer or a console, because the whole game plays out on a table.
You do not have to invest in expensive single cards right away. Better to learn the mechanics on the basic sets and only then pick your additions deliberately.

For more advanced players there are bigger formats: Skirmish for PLN 60 and Prerelease for PLN 150. A good chance to test yourself in competition and pick up new cards.

Start with one deck and play it until you know its strengths. Go over the games you lose, because those teach you the most. Ask more experienced players about card combinations.
Regular meet-ups are the fastest route to progress. The weekly Nexus Night gives you a steady rhythm and a chance to spar. In time you start recognising your opponents' popular decks and planning counters, which is one of the most interesting stages of learning.
